SINIZEN and MAKESHIFT INNOCENCE

It’s not too often you get to hear Californian and Canadian reggae bands in Boise on the same night. Two top-notch emerging artists, SINIZEN and MAKESHIFT INNOCENCE are doing an international tour and making a stop in the City of Trees. SINIZEN is a Reggae – Rock- Blues band from Huntington Beach, California. They frequently tour with other bands such as Passafire, Authority Zero, Dirty heads, rebelution, iration, and many more. SINIZEN is currently recording their 4th full length record. You will hear original works with creative influences of artists like Bob Marley, Citizen Cope, Peter Tosh, Ventures, Sublime, The Clash, Specials, Passafire, and The Black Keys.
Sinizen is joining Calgary, Canada based band Makeshift Innocence for a summer tour spanning both countries. Jesse-James Cameron leads the band on vocals and acoustic guitar with Tammy Amstutz on bass guitar, Brad Simons on electric guitar, and Fred Brenton on drums. Cameron spent three formative years in Negril, Jamaica, where he fell in love with the tones and feel of Reggae music – music that now infuses the group’s Reggae, Rock and Roots sounds with authentic Caribbean flavour. Known as one of Western Canada’s best live acts, they showcased twice at Canadian Music Week in 2011 – selling out the Bread and Circus and the Hideout. They were one of 12 bands from around the world chosen to showcase at the Worldwide Radio Summit in Los Angeles on April 30, 2011, and the only Canadian band selected to showcase at MUSEXPO in Hollywood on May 1, 2011. Makeshift Innocence was also one of a handful of bands chosen to showcase at COCA (Canadian Organization Campus Activities) in Whistler, British Columbia in June 2011, and are currently touring Canada until January 2012 when they will head south to continue touring in the US.
